The Children In Need Foundation (CINF) is a 501(c)(3) public charity operated by members of The Active 20-30 Club of Phoenix, committed to serving the greater Phoenix, Arizona community with meaningful grant-giving which seeks to address the needs and well-being of underprivileged children in the Valley.

OUR MISSION

The sole purpose of the Children In Need Foundation is to serve our community’s greatest asset - our children. Our mission is to distribute, in a timely manner, the proceeds generated from the fundraising efforts of the Active 20-30 Club of Phoenix #99 and the distributions gained from its endowment.

 

CINF favors, but does necessarily limit funding to, those project applications that focus on one of the following five identified Areas of Opportunity:

Programs which address issues such as physical, sexual or mental abuse as well as neglectful treatment, etc.

Programs that address issues such as special learning needs, staying in school/dropout avoidance, violence prevention, safe schools, etc.

Social/Emotional Well-being

Mentoring programs, peer programs, parenting skills, counseling, etc.

Life skills & Leisure Habits

Career skills, sports, artistic programs, outdoor programs, hobby/shop programs, Boy/Girl Scout-type programs, etc.

We are honored to have an incredible roaster of great men throughout the valley dedicated to our cause. The Children In Need Foundation board is comprised of 3 current Active 20-30 of Phoenix club members along with 3-4 past active members. The board is made up of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and past active members who’s commitments are to serve as fiduciary and steward of our Endowment, fund Active 20-30 Club fundraisers, and review and grant funds raised throughout the year to our incredible beneficiaries. APPLICATION FAQs

 

We encourage organizations interested in applying for funding to read our mission and guidelines. Applicants may also review past grantees to understand the organizations CINF looks to fund.

ELIGIBILITY

Geographic Priorities

CINF seeks to serve our local Valley of the Sun community, and only accepts requests from organizations serving Maricopa County, unless the project/program primarily benefits Maricopa County residents.

Funding Eligibility

CINF does not currently provide funding to the following:

  • Nonprofit organizations whose 501(c)(3) status has been in effect for less than three years.

  • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national origin, marital status, age, disability or veteran status.

  • Scholarships or fellowships for individuals.

  • Political, labor or fraternal organizations.

  • Advocacy or lobbying activities for issue related topics.

  • General fund drives or annual appeals, general ongoing operating budgets and overhead costs.

  • Capital campaigns.

  • Religious organizations, churches or programs that are purely denominational in purpose.

  • Foundations or organizations which are themselves, grant-making entities.

  • Individual schools: public, charter, private, colleges, universities or their support organizations (to include but not limited to; Booster Clubs, PTA/PTO’s, athletic teams, bands, performing arts groups, alumni associations or school foundations).

  • Ongoing support or multi-year support.

  • Projects or programs outside of Maricopa County, unless the project/program primarily serves Maricopa County residents.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Proposal Submission Requirements

Applicants are required to provide additional required financial and supplemental documents, listed in detail in the application form provided below, within the deadline for consideration of funding from CINF.

Application Period

  • Application acceptance: January 1st through April 1st
  • Final Application Decision by June 1st
