PHOENIX 20-30 EVENTS
Our Signature Phoenix 20-30 Events have become the backbone of our club’s fundraising efforts, as well as a way to connect with our community. Through regularly organized projects and events, we are able to build awareness for our Foundation and our beneficiaries, connect with our sponsors, and extend our reach to the Phoenix Valley.
PHOENIX SUITCASE PARTY
The Phoenix Suitcase Party has quickly become our signature event. The premise is simple: buy a ticket, pack a suitcase, show up for the party, enter your ticket into the raffle, and the winner leaves the party for an exclusive weekend trip in a private jet! The party takes place at Scottsdale Airpark in one of the exclusive hangers, with the doors wide open and the backdrop of the McDowell Mountains, guests enjoy gambling, all you can eat, drinks, and live music for the night.
GOLDWATER CLASSIC
Get out your clubs and join the Phoenix 20-30 Club for an awesome day of golf, sun and fun! Each golfer will be pampered throughout the day with hospitality second to none, enjoy play on a beautiful course! Most importantly, at every turn you will be providing critical resources to help improve the quality of life for children in our local community, with efforts going directly to our foundation.
BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING
As part of a long-running national Active 20-30 program, the Active 20-30 Club of Phoenix partners with deserving local organizations in the late summer for a back-to-school shopping event. Club members take underprivileged kids on an early-morning back-to-school shopping trip, outfitting the kids with new clothes, shoes and supplies for the school year.
CHRISTMAS BOWLING FOR KIDS
Each year, shortly after Thanksgiving, the Phoenix 20-30 Club hosts a Holiday Bowling Party where our members take a group of local valley kids out for a fun evening of bowling and games, and present them with holidays gifts purchased by our club members. Topping off the night’s fun, Santa Claus pays an early visit and delivers surprise gifts for the bowling participants. Check out last year’s Holiday Bowling Party here!
PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
We held our 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament over the weekend of Saturday, April 23rd 2022 and Sunday, April 24th 2022 at JW Marriott Desert Ridge! Over 100 players played and enjoyed the “King of the Court” format, which allowed for a fun, fast paced environment where the players played a lot of pickleball, met many other people, and perfect for all skill levels (new, beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert) to play at same time. Winners from each “King of the Court” group advanced to the “Elite 8” for a chance to win prizes, which included but were not limited to, staycation at JW Marriott Scottsdale, pickleball paddles, and various gift cards. There were also chances for all players who participated to win these prizes in our raffle. These prizes were in addition to the gift bags each player received with a Devereux shirt, Franklin pickleball, Fila wristband, Jigsaw Health products, drink tickets, and a complimentary lunch! We are excited to build upon the success we had in our inaugural Pickleball Tournament for next year’s event, especially with Pickleball being the fastest growing sport in the USA!
“RUN FOR THE ROSES” DERBY PARTY
We are excited to host yet another Run for the Roses Derby Party and this time with a POP of color! This event is going to be truly special as we will be bringing out our big hats and cheering the horses on! This event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 4th at Wasted Grain in Scottsdale, AZ. You will not want to miss the hottest Kentucky Derby Party in Arizona! WISH SLAM 2023
Grab your Pickleball Paddles! It’s time to serve up some wishes at the Wish Slam II pickle ball tournament benefitting Make-A-Wish Arizona. Teams will compete in a 50-team competitive pickleball tournament which will include a round-robin to play in the final round playoffs. Guests will also enjoy live music, food, and drinks!
